ST&R TO HELP DOMINICAN REPUBLIC WITH FREE TRADE NEGOTIATIONS
Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg has been hired to represent the Dominican Association of Export Free Zones and work with the country’s industry leaders to develop strategies to increase their competitiveness in international trade.
Attorney Chandri Navarro-Bowman, based at the international trade and customs law firm’s Washington office, will lead the project.
The Dominican Republic, a beneficiary of the Caribbean Basin Trade Preference Act, has signed a free trade agreement with the Central American Common Market. Last year, the country ranked as the seventh-largest apparel exporter to the United States.
