Study of port privatization proposed in Virginia A member of Virginia’s legislature is reportedly proposing the general assembly examine whether privatization makes sense for the Virginia Port Authority.
   The Virginia Pilot said a Republican delegate, Harry R. Purkey, told it that he will introduce legislation authorizing a study on whether privatizing the state’s marine terminals in Hampton Roads makes sense.
