Suez terminal reaches 2-million-TEU milestone
Officials at the Suez Canal Container Terminal said the terminal has passed the 2 million TEU mark for the first time.
SCCT is in the Egyptian port of Said and sits at the Mediterranean entrance of the canal. The port primarily handles transshipment cargo. The terminal has a design capacity for 2.5 million TEUs, but can be expanded to 5 million TEUs.
