SunTrustÆs Kuntz selected Enterprise Florida vice chair

Enterprise Florida's board of directors has elected Thomas Kuntz, SunTrust Bank's chief, as the agency's vice chair, the top spot on the board behind the governor.

Enterprise Florida is a public-private partnership that provides many of the services offered by a traditional state commerce department. Board members are named by the governor and leaders from the state legislature.

Kuntz has been an Enterprise Florida board member since January 2005, and succeeds Susan Story, president and chief executive officer of Gulf Power Co., as vice chair. He will serve a two-year term.

Kuntz is also on the board for the Florida Chamber of Commerce and is a trustee on the board for Rollins College. He is a member of the Florida Council of 100, a nonprofit, nonpartisan group that provides the governor with business perspectives on statewide issues and economic growth.
