Supply Chain Council picks board

Members of the Supply Chain Council, a global management organization whose goals revolve around creating improvements in supply chain processes, have elected an eight-member board to serve for three years.
The council said its new board reflects its practitioner-driven leadership model.

   New board members are:

  • Matt Davis, principal research analyst at Gartner’s AMR Supply Chain Research.
  • Lars Magnusson, manager of supply chain development at Ericsson AB.
  • Maha Muzumdar, vice president of supply chain marketing for Oracle.

  • Christian Verstraete, chief technology officer for manufacturing and distribution industries at Hewlett Packard.
  • Peter Vanderminden, a principal enterprise strategist of supply chain, transportation and logistics for Microsoft.

The board provides direction and sets policies so the council can provide services like research, education, and training to its members. “We are fortunate to have a board that is experienced and deeply versed in the real-world supply chain challenges,” said the council’s executive director Joseph Francis.
The board chairman for the upcoming year will be Steve Georgevitch, Boeing’s senior project manager for analysis, integration, and logistics. Georgevitch and seven other board members will continue to service out their ongoing terms. The others are:
