Supreme Court will hear N.J.-Del. boundary dispute The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear the dispute between the states of New Jersey and Delaware regarding the boundary in the Delaware River that could have important implications for a liquefied natural gas tanker terminal that BP wants to build in New Jersey.
   Delaware has been trying to block construction of the proposed Crown Landing LNG import terminal the BP has proposed building on the New Jersey side of the river in Logan Township, N.J. along the Delaware River.
   BP wants to build a dock to receive gas from LNG tankers and a facility that would store about 9.5 billion cubic feet of gas. The facility would have a gas output of about 1.2 billion cubic feet per day; enough to supply about 5 million homes per day.
   Dennis Bryant of the law firm Holland & Knight notes that the boundary dispute “has been simmering for many years and is based on old colonial land grants.”
