Swedish firm chooses GT Nexus
Swedish forest products company SCA Transforest said it would use the trade and logistics portal GT Nexus to conduct procurement of global ocean transportation services and manage freight rates.
SCA's partner carriers will use the platform to negotiate rates and keep service contracts up to date.
'We have seen dramatic freight rate fluctuations over the past few years,' said Nils-Johan Haraldsson, vice president of marine transportation at SCA Transforest. 'With GT Nexus, we infuse a new level of control to the way we manage our global freight spend. This will help ensure we get the maximum value, regardless of the market situation.'
