The service links Port Klang, Malaysia's largest container port, with Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia, Fiji and New Zealand. The service has called at Klang every 20 days.
'The timing of this announcement supports the recently announced free trade agreement between Malaysia and New Zealand (announced in October 2009) and assists in developing new ties between the two countries,' Swire said in a statement.
