The ground-handling agent has signed a five-year agreement with the all-cargo airline.
Swissport has agreed to become the preferred ground-handling agent for Cargolux, effective Jan. 1, for the next five years.
Swissport will provide Cargolux with cargo and ramp-handling services at “selected stations all over the world” including Europe and the U.S., according to a Swissport press release. Swissport allowed that an expansion in scope will be forthcoming.
“The aim in teaming up the world’s leading ground and cargo handling provider with Europe’s largest cargo airline is to further improve quality standards at the respective stations in a joint effort to provide shared customers with best-of-breed cargo services across the globe,” according to the press release. “The two companies will closely cooperate to expand their global network in a coordinated effort.”
