TACA lines hiking fuel surcharges
The Trans-Atlantic Conference Agreement is raising its bunker and adjustment factor from Sept. 16 through, at least, Oct. 15 due to escalating increases to the price of fuel.
TACA's bunker rates for traffic to, from and via U.S. Atlantic and Gulf coasts ports will be $607 (from $494) per TEU and $1,214 (from $988) per FEU or 45-foot container, with a weight-measure adjustment of $61 (from $49).
Rates for traffic to, from and via U.S. Pacific Coast ports will go to $911 (from $741) per TEU, $1,822 (from $1,482) per FEU or 45-foot container, and weight-measure adjustment of $91 (from $74).
The conference's currency adjustment factor will remain unchanged at 10 percent for the same period.
