TACA, USSEC MAINTAIN BUNKER SURCHARGES FOR 4TH QUARTER

TACA, USSEC MAINTAIN BUNKER SURCHARGES FOR 4TH QUARTER    The Trans-Atlantic Conference Agreement and the United States South Europe Conference said they'll maintain their bunker adjustment favor at current levels for the fourth quarter.
   TACA's BAF remains $52 per TEU and $104 per FEU for U.S. Atlantic/Gulf Coast ports, and $78 per TEU and $156 per FEU for U.S. Pacific Coast ports. In addition, the conference said its currency adjustment factor will be adjusted to minus 10 percent for fourth-quarter application.
   TACA member lines are Atlantic Container Line, Hapag-Lloyd, Mediterranean Shipping Co., Maersk Sealand, NYK, OOCL, and P&O Nedlloyd.
   USSEC's BAF will remain $71 per TEU, $142 per FEU and 6 percent per weight/measurement.
   Conference members are Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk Sealand and P&O Nedlloyd.
