Tampa Steel Conference set for Feb. 26-27

Tampa Steel Conference set for Feb. 26-27    Officials from the Port of Tampa said Thursday the annual Tampa Steel Conference has been scheduled for February 26-27 at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel.
   The event will be in its 18th year and is being co-sponsored by P&O Ports, now a major terminal operator after landing the contract last year to manage the terminal formerly operated by SSA Marine.
   The first day of the Monday/Tuesday conference focuses on networking events. There will be golf and tennis tournaments, a pair of port tours, and an opening reception in the evening.
   On Tuesday, there will be an industry forum from 9 a.m. to noon, followed by a closing luncheon. Confirmed speakers at the forum include John Correnti, president and CEO of SeverCorr; David Jeanes, senior vice president marketing and development for the American Iron and Steel Institute; and Lewis Leibowitz, a partner at the law firm Hogan & Hartson.
