Target Logistics to manage L’Occitane supply chain

Target Logistics to manage L’Occitane supply chain French luxury beauty products maker and distributor L’Occitane has selected Carson, Calif.-based Target Logistic Services to manage the beauty firm's national supply chain.
   Target, a subsidiary of Target Logistics Inc., will handle supply chain strategies related to transporting L’Occitane’s organic and natural beauty products, including perfumes, bath, body and skincare products to the French firm's 156 stores and independent retail outlets throughout the United States.
   Target, in a release announcing the deal last week, said it would utilize transport options including same-day service, next-day morning and afternoon delivery plus deferred, time definite arrival of shipments based on L’Occitane’s requirements. Daily pickups at L’Occitane’s distribution facility in Lyndhurst, N.J., will be delivered directly to the company’s retail stores and independent retail outlets.
      Started in 1970, the $175 million-a-year Target has facilities in 200 domestic airport cities and offices/agents in more than 80 countries worldwide. Target is a subsidiary of Target Logistics Inc., a publicly held company listed on the American Stock Exchange.
