Taylor to head BestTransport

Taylor to head BestTransport BestTransport today said it has named Patrick Taylor president and chief executive officer.
   Columbus, Ohio-based BestTransport is a provider of online transportation management systems, an on-demand service that enables shippers and carriers to plan, execute and settle inbound and outbound freight activities.
   BestTransport connects to more than 3,000 shippers and carriers, and processes thousands of shipments daily.
   Taylor was a founder of IMC Supply Chain Services, a supply chain company that provides sales and consulting services to shippers and carriers. Before IMC’s founding two years ago, he was BestTransport’s chief technology officer from its inception as a company in 1999.
