The facility was evacuated last Sunday after wildfires that tore through California threatened the facility.
The Tecate checkpoint normally processes more than 300 trucks per day.
Due to roadway safety concerns by state officials, all cargo trucks will still be required to use SR-188 to SR-94 east when entering and exiting the United States at Tecate until the roadways leading to the port are repaired. A repair effort involving guardrails and signs is underway.
The facility suffered no damage from the fires.
