Technicolor expands 3PL services

Technicolor, a multimedia and entertainment company, has expanded its third party logistics services and initiated a rebranding under the new name Technicolor Global Logistics (TGL).
Technicolor is building on its existing success around direct-to-retail distribution and freight management to broaden its reach into new market segments like toys, electronics, recreational products, consumer packaged goods, and other durable product categories.
TGL said its platform will include freight brokerage; ocean, air, and ground transportation; shipment/load optimization; and business intelligence reporting.
The company manages 15 supply chain centers worldwide and offers its own transportation management system (TMS) to facilitate product movements across its multi-modal network. It reaches more than 10,000 ship-to locations in North America alone. Its TMS supports route planning, shipment consolidation, mode optimization, carrier and service selection, rate selection, in-transit inventory visibility, track and trace, freight audit and pay, and centralized transportation control.
