Sarah Thorn, senior director of federal government relations at Wal-Mart Stores Inc., will serve as chairman of the National Foreign Trade Council’s World Trade Organization Working Group.
Thorn currently manages international policy issues, including trade negotiations, that impact the company’s worldwide sourcing and retail distribution rights.
Trade rules currently being debated in Geneva include an international services agreement, an expansion of the international technology agreement and multilateral trade facilitation. – Eric Kulisch
