Three Asia/Australia carriers set up second joint loop

From mid-May, ANL Container Line and the two members of the “ACE group” — China Shipping Container Lines and Orient Overseas Container Line — will start a second weekly service between Asia and Australia.

The three carriers will continue to operate their existing joint service in the same trade, the “Australia China Express,” which calls Shanghai, Chiwan, Hong Kong, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Chiwan.

The new service will be called “ANL/ACE North Asia Service” and will use six ships of about 2,500 TEUs, with ANL deploying three ships and the others to come from China Shipping and OOCL.

The port rotation of the “AANA” service will be Yokohama, Osaka, Pusan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and back to Yokohama.
