TIBBETT & BRITTEN SHOWS GROWTH IN FIRST HALF

   Tibbett & Britten has reported a 9.3-percent increase in revenues from continuing operations to '686 million ($998.2 million) for the first half of 2001. Operating profit rose 9.2 percent to '14.3 million ($20.81 million) for the same period.

   The company cited strong growth in North American and mainland Europe markets in addition to the company's move away from industrial markets for the increases. North American revenues and operating profits both increase 28 percent in the first half of 2001. European operations saw a 19 percent increase in revenues and an 11 percent increase in operating profit.
