TIP INTERNATIONAL JOINS IANA EQUIPMENT INTERCHANGE AGREEMENT
Tip Intermodal Services, a Devon, Pa.-based equipment leasing firm, will join an intermodal industry equipment interchange program administered by the Intermodal Association of North America on No. 1.
The Uniform Intermodal Interchange and Facilities Access Agreement” covers liability and other issues related to the interchange of intermodal equipment between equipment providers and motor carriers.
IANA said the agreement was developed to gain uniformity in the interchange process, and reduce administrative burdens associated with the contractual exchange of equipment.
TIP Intermodal Services is the first equipment leasing firm to establish equipment interchange parameters through the agreement.
