Titan to add converted freighter
European charter airline Titan Airways has hired Dothan, Ala.-based Pemco World Air Services to convert a B737-300 passenger plane to a freighter configuration.
Work on the aircraft, which Titan recently purchased, is scheduled to be completed in late May.
Titan said it is expanding its fleet due to a significant increase in the company’s overnight parcel and mail business.
The airline is a repeat customer for Pemco, which converted four BAe-146 freighters for the airline.
