TitanÆs Garrido elected VP of salvage association
Mauricio Garrido, director of business development for Fort Lauderdale-based Titan Salvage, has been elected vice president of the American Salvage Association.
Garrido has been in the casualty response industry for 17 years and previously served as chairman of the ASA's training committee. His other industry activities include serving as a director of the Marine Response Alliance and membership on the Safety of Life At Sea committee. Prior to joining the salvage industry he worked with the Military Sealift Command and the National Transportation Safety Board.
The ASA provides an industry voice on issues such as U.S. maritime salvage regulations and working with the U.S. Coast Guard.
