TMSi buys Griffin Global Logistics

TMSi buys Griffin Global Logistics    TMSi Logistics, a distribution, technology and logistics provider, has acquired Reno, Nev.-based Griffin Global Logistics, a third-party global supply chain company.
   Griffin Global Logistics offers international and domestic transportation, customs brokerage and compliance, supply chain management, multiclient warehousing and distribution, and information technology services.
   TMSi, based in Portsmouth, N.H., said the acquisition would allow it to increase its market share in the West Coast region, especially targeting shippers of high-tech electronics, aftermarket automotive parts, industrial supplies, sporting goods and apparel. 'This acquisition is expected to facilitate TMSi's entry into new markets and participation in international transportation bids,' said Ron Cain, TMSi's chairman and chief executive officer.
