TomTom WebFleet adds dispatch option

   Telematics and fleet management services provider TomTom has updated its WebFleet to include a dispatch option that gives users the shortest travel time to assist their customers.
   WebFleet, the online fleet management application that also became a mobile app at the end of March, creates routes based on the quickest possible arrival time instead of distance to customers. TomTom said the service takes things like traffic into account for estimated arrival times. This allows the customer to pick the correct vehicle for the job.
   According to research from the German Aerospace Center, vehicle-routing and estimated-time-of-arrival calculations run by TomTom’s HD Traffic and IQ Routes reduce average drive times by 13 percent and up to 30 percent in congested areas.
