Touchbase to open regional office in Miami
Touchbase, the U.K.-based business communications company with regional offices on four continents, has opened a fifth regional office in Miami to cover Florida, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Touchbase specializes in working with businesses to develop international voice and data technologies, focusing on establishing global communications systems.
'Our global expansion strategy is to become technology partners with businesses in Latin America and provide them with efficient cost-effective solutions,' said Raul Diaz, vice president of Touchbase's Miami client team, in a statement issued with the Miami-based Beacon Council. 'Miami's growing reputation as a telecommunications hub together with its excellent business culture makes it the ideal location to service both the southeastern U.S. market, as well as the Latin American and Caribbean markets.'
Over the next three years, the company will expand its offices in downtown Miami and hire 30 full-time employees.
The Beacon Council, Miami-Dade County's official public-private economic development partnership, assisted Touchbase with establishing operations in Miami, with the council's Department of International Economic Development Programs. The unit provided custom research on the local labor market, training programs and wages, and provided business contacts and referrals, as well as general information on Miami-Dade County needed to make a move into the area.
Touchbase already has regional offices in Europe, Asia, North America, and Australia.
