TQL opens Lexington office

TQL opens Lexington office    Freight broker Total Quality Logistics has opened its Lexington, Ky., and expects to hire at least 45 employees for the location by the end of 2012.
   Freight brokers connect shippers of consumer and industrial goods, food and food-related companies with transportation carriers that bring these goods to market.
   Lexington is the fourth satellite office TQL has opened in 2011, and the eighth new office in the last two years. TQL satellite offices have grown steadily, adding 217 employees to the company’s overall roster of 1,400.
   “Lexington is attractive to us because of the talent in the area, which includes more than a dozen respected colleges and universities from which TQL can hire local graduates,” said Kerry Byrne, TQL's vice president.
