Trade Symposium goes virtual
International trade professionals for the first time will be able to watch a live Webcast of the annual Customs and Border Protection Trade Symposium, scheduled this year for Dec. 8-10 in Washington.
Registration for the popular event, now in its 10th year, is capped at about 800 people, so the online access will allow a broader audience to view and interactively participate in the program.
CBP said it will open Webcast registration sometime in mid-October. The cost will be $35. Participants who pay to attend the trade symposium onsite or purchase the live Webcast will also be provided with complimentary on-demand access via the Internet for 30 days.
Registration to attend the show in person will begin Oct. 1 at noon. Some breakout sessions available for sign up may not be offered if there is insufficient interest, CBP said.
