Tradepoint Atlantic inks deal with Host Terminals

The 3,100-acre multimodal industrial site in Baltimore entered into a 10-year agreement with Host Terminals to oversee the vast majority of marine cargo operations.

Tradepoint Atlantic, a 3,100-acre multimodal industrial site in Baltimore, entered into a 10-year agreement with Host Terminals to oversee the vast majority of marine cargo operations, the companies said.
Tradepoint Atlantic and Host Terminals will put forth a combined investment of $30 million toward infrastructure improvements at the site. The investment will go towards lighting, paving, security upgrades and new equipment, a Host spokesperson told American Shipper in an e-mailed statement.
Tradepoint Atlantic features four berths, over 1,000 acres that is dedicated to marine storage space, and has connections to Class I railways CSX and Norfolk Southern.
The complex also has the largest private rail yard on the East Coast, with over 100 miles of short-line rail on-site.
In 2016, Atlantic Forest Products signed a long-term lease at Tradepoint Atlantic, and Pasha began receiving and processing automobiles at the complex.
Founded in 1923, Host covers the U.S. East and Gulf coasts, providing solutions for customers’ terminal, stevedoring, marine asset and agency needs.
