Trailer Bridge to co-sponsor Puerto Rico coastal cleanup

Trailer Bridge to co-sponsor Puerto Rico coastal cleanup Container carrier Trailer Bridge Inc. said it will be a co-sponsor of Puerto Rico’s International Coastal Cleanup on Sept. 20.
   The annual event, was started 22 years ago by Ocean Conservancy. Last year, 9,325 volunteers at 115 sites in Puerto Rico removed 362,000 pounds of debris along 162 miles of coastline, making it among the largest ICC efforts worldwide.
   Coordinated in Puerto Rico by Alberto Marti of Scuba Dogs Society, this year’s cleanup in Puerto Rico is expected to be even larger with more than 10,000 volunteers at over 150 sites.
