TransCore adds freight matching

TransCore Link Logistics has completed the integration of its Canadian freight matching system with its dispatching application.

With the latest release of its Linkdispatch, customers can manage their business end-to-end through integration with the Loadlink freight matching system. Entries in Linkdispatch can be set to automatically transfer into Loadlink, as well as allow the option to download customer details from Loadlink back into Linkdispatch.

“There’s no more re-keying information from one system to another, streamlining the entire freight management process by completing Loadlink postings with one click,” said Claudia Milicevic, TransCore’s general manager. “This provides one system that does everything from initial quote to eliminating empty backhauls.”

In some markets, like the U.S., integration among these types of systems is more commonplace, but TransCore is touting this as one of the first Canada-specific integrations of freight matching and dispatching services.

Existing Linkdispatch customers will receive the feature as part of the regular Linkdispatch upgrades and can immediately post entries into Loadlink once they install the new version. TransCore noted that companies will also retain their Loadlink settings independent of Linkdispatch, allowing them to post directly through either system.

TransCore’s Loadlink freight matching database is one of the largest Canadian networks of carriers, owner-operators, freight brokers, and intermediaries. It was established in 1990 and currently users post more than 13 million trucks and full-truck-load and less-than-truck loads shipments annually.
