Transcronos of Brazil joins GTN ocean portal
Transcronos, a provider of import and export trade management and freight logistics services in Brazil, has joined the GTN portal, a transaction platform for ocean freight management that uses technology from software provider GT Nexus.
Transcronos uses the GTN portal for electronic processing of bills of lading with ocean carriers. The portal reduces the time required to process shipping documents and eliminates extra fees for manual work.
Using GTN as an integration hub, 'we send an electronic file directly to the ship line. There is no delay between our systems, or extra effort to input the information,' said Vilas Boas, commercial manager of Transcronos, which is based in Sao Paulo.
GT Nexus has its headquarters in Alameda, Calif.
