Tropical revises schedule for July 4 Tropical Shipping Wednesday issued a notice for its customers in the U.S. and Caribbean locations with Tuesday sailings or cutoff times that all U.S. and U.S. Virgin Island offices will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, affecting some shipping schedules.
   The office closures mean there will be no departures to Nassau and Freeport in the Bahamas on July 4. The normal Tuesday sailing for Providenciales, Turks & Caicos will depart on Wednesday, July 5.
   In addition, cargo and documentation cutoff times for all Wednesday, July 5 departures including: Antigua; Dominica; Exuma, Bahamas; Freeport, Grand Bahama, Bahamas; Long Island, Bahamas; Montserrat; Nassau, Bahamas; Nevis; Saba; St. Eustatius; St. John; St. Kitts; St. Maarten; St. Thomas, Tortola; Turks & Caicos, Providenciales; and Virgin Gorda, will be on Monday, July 3.
   The company noted that all frozen and chilled less-than-containerload cargo for Nassau will sail on Wednesday July 5. Deliveries to Port of Palm Beach Cold will be accepted on Monday, July 3 until 4 p.m. only.
      Customers in the U.S. Virgin Islands expecting cargo deliveries on Tuesday, July 4 should contact Tropical sales offices in St. Croix at 340-778-8767 or St. Thomas 340-776-8767 to make the necessary pre-clearance arrangements.
