TROY CONTAINER LINE EXPANDS CFS OPERATIONS

TROY CONTAINER LINE EXPANDS CFS OPERATIONS    Troy Container Line has doubled its container freight station network to provide improved service to export and import less-than-containerload shipments.
The new stations are located in Cincinnati, Columbus, Des Moines, Detroit, Ft. Wayne, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and St. Louis. They join the Red Bank, N.J.-based neutral non-vessel-operating common carrier’s receiving stations already in Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, New York, Norfolk, and Philadelphia.
Troy Container Line plans to add more container freight stations around the country in the future. “These new stations are part of our plans for steady, solid growth, both in the geographic areas we cover and the services we provide,” said Gary A. Dreuer, president of Troy Container Line.
In addition to expanding its CFS network, Troy Container Line recently opened a new regional office in Boston with a local sales staff to better serve the New England area.
The NVO also recently added new direct LCL service into Hamburg offering delivery to points within Germany, and has added six more agency offices in India, increasing the number of LCL freight receiving stations on the Subcontinent to 21.
