TROY CONTAINER LINE EXPANDS ISRAEL SERVICE, APPOINTS TRADE MANAGER

Troy Container Line, the neutral non-vessel-operating common carrier, is offering a new less-than-containerload and full-container service direct into Israel via the ports of Ashdod and Haifa.

The service comes out of the port of New York, and is intended to provide importers and exporters with a faster, more convenient way to reach markets in Israel.

The service includes fixed-day sailings, with a 17-day transit time. In Ashdod and Haifa, the freight will be deconsolidated by Delta Pacific on the day of arrival, and will be immediately available for pickup.

Sal Colonna was hired by Red Bank, N.J.-based Troy Container Line to head up their new service to Israel as trade manager. Colonna worked for companies such as Barber Lines and Scan Freight, and he also owned Joint Cargo, a shipping company in New Jersey.
