Truck fire creates freeway fondue mess    An early morning tractor-trailer fire near downtown Sacramento Thursday led to a gooey batch of flamb'ed freeway fondue.
   The rig, carrying a load of provolone, cheddar, American and other cheeses, burst into flames along a stretch of Interstate 80 north of the state capitol.
   No one was hurt, but hundreds of pounds of the baked cheeses wound up littering the highway.
   “It went pretty quick,” truck driver Frank Barker told local news station KCRA-TV.
   Barker told the station that he tried to put out the flames with his truck’s fire extinguisher after noticing smoke coming from the underside of his truck, but the fire had already grown too large. Despite risking being fricasseed himself, Barker managed to rescue his dog from the truck's cab.
