Trucking executive named to transit board
Trucking executive Myron “Mike” Shevell has been named vice chairman of New Jersey Transit Board.
Shevell has worked in the trucking industry for more than 55 years and is the chairman of The Shevell Group of companies, comprising real estate, warehousing, less-than-truckload, truckload and logistics companies including Carrier Industries, Eastern Freight Ways, Apex Logistics and NEMF World Transport. The Shevell Group is also parent company of New England Motor Freight Inc. in Elizabeth.
Shevell also serves as chairman of the New Jersey Motor Truck Association. A resident of Long Branch, Shevell has been a member of the New Jersey Transit board since 1995.
