Two new board members for NOL

Two new board members for NOL    The NOL Group has appointed two new members to its board directors, the company said Monday.
   NOL is the Singapore-based parent company of liner carrier APL and APL Logistics.
   The new additions to the company's board are Low Check Kian, chairman, Asia for NewSmith Capital Partners, and Wu Yibing, president of CITIC Private Equity Funds Management Co. They'll join the board April 14, a day after current directors Simon Israel and Friedbert Malt retire at NOL’s annual general meeting.
   Low is one of the founding partners of London-based NewSmith Capital Partners LLP, an independent partnership providing corporate finance advice and investment management services. He has served as an independent director on the Singapore Exchange board since July 2000, and was appointed lead independent director in May 2006.
   Wu manages a firm overseeing more than $2 billion worth of assets. He's a non-executive director of Lenovo Group and a board member of the China Social Entrepreneur Foundation.
