U.K. tuna company selects CEVA

U.K. tuna company selects CEVA CEVA Newsfast, part of CEVA Logistics, has been awarded a contract worth 8.8 million euros ($11.7 million) per year by John West Foods Ltd. to handle the canned tuna and fish company’s supply chain in the United Kingdom.
   Under terms of the contract, which begins April 1, John West’s products will be delivered to CEVA’s 755,000-square-foot multiuser center in Mendlesham, Suffolk, for distribution to wholesalers, supermarket regional distribution centers and food retailers.
   The products, primarily from John West’s own canning factories in the Seychelles, Ghana and Portugal, come into the United Kingdom via the Port of Felixstowe where Newsfast already operates an import center. About 3,500 sea containers a year will be handled through Newsfast’s Mendlesham site with the company’s port operation providing additional support during peak periods of activity.
