U.S., Brazil to sign maritime pact today
The United States and Brazil will sign an agreement on maritime trade today at the U.S. Department of Transportation in Washington, D.C.
The new pact will provide shipping lines of both countries with better access to each other's markets.
Norman Y. Mineta, secretary of transportation, and Roberto Abdenur, Brazil's ambassador to the United States, will participate in the afternoon ceremony.
