U.S.-China high-tech working group to meet Sept. 29

The U.S.-China High Technology Working Group will hold a public-private sector dialogue in Washington on Sept. 29.

During the all-day discussion, U.S. and Chinese government and trade officials will identify barriers to U.S.-China high-tech trade, particularly in two of the largest categories of advanced technology: civil aviation-aerospace and information technology.

The Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security said a major goal for the discussion is “to learn from individual U.S. and Chinese companies about the ways in which the two governments can further support high technology trade for civilian end-uses in China.”

The meeting will be held at the National Association of Manufacturers’ headquarters.
