U.S. Department of Agriculture rejects California olive growers’ trade assistance request
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service rejected a Dec. 3 petition for trade adjustment assistance from the Olive Growers Council of California.
“Upon investigation, the administrator could not make a determination that increases in imports during the 2003-2004 marketing year contributed importantly to the decline in producer prices,” the agency said.
