U.S. funds Indian aviation safety training

U.S. funds Indian aviation safety training    The U.S. Trade and Development Agency awarded a $387,282 grant to India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation on Thursday to help train regulatory officials in preparation for increased growth in passengers, flights, cargo and airport infrastructure.
   The grant is part of the U.S.-India Aviation Cooperation Program. It’s the third program USTDA has supported with the DGCA. Previous grants have supported an Aviation Standards and Processes Technical Training Program and a Helicopter Aviation Safety Program.
   The training program for the DGCA officers will be provided by Hi-Tec Systems, a U.S. company that has provided aviation sector consulting and engineering services for more than 15 years.
