U.S. MARINE CORPS ORDER "QUADCON" SMALL CONTAINERS
The United States Marine Corps has ordered $66-million worth of
Quadcons, the small intermodal containers, from Charleston Marine Containers Inc.
Quadcon units are one fourth of the size of a standard 20-foot
container. They can be connected together to be handled as a standard 20-foot
container.
Developed primarily for military purposes, a Quadcon can be used for
delivery by a small land vehicle or by a helicopter.
Charleston Marine Containers is a subsidiary of Sea Containers.
