Security agencies will encourage interaction between government scientists, academia and the private sector in both countries to develop technologies for threat and vulnerability assessments, border and transportation security, and civil defense emergency management, the Department of Homeland Security said.
The United States has recently concluded similar arrangements with Germany, Spain, France, Israel, Australia, the United Kingdom and Canada.
