U.S., South Africa discuss agricultural trade

The countries met to discuss a framework for exporting bone-in chicken from the United States to South Africa.    United States and South African officials met in Paris June 4-5 to discuss the exportation of bone-in chicken to South Africa, according to the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR).
   Both nations said they are eager to expedite the process as quickly as possible and complete the proper implementation steps.
   Delegates from the U.S. and South Africa also discussed resolving sanitary issues related to beef, pork and poultry exports.
   The South African delegation was led by Ambassador Faizel Ismail and the U.S. delegation was led by U.S. Ambassador to South Africa, Patrick H. Gaspard.
