U.S. SOUTH EUROPE CONFERENCE RAISES RATES
Members of the United States South Europe Conference said Tuesday they will increase westbound rates by $80 per 20-foot container and $100 per 40-footer, effective Oct. 1.
“This action follows a further review of the market and is part of the continuing need to improve rate level viability,” the conference said in a statement.
Conference members are Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk Sealand and P&O Nedlloyd.
