UAL’s 2nd quarter profit up 130%
UAL Corp., parent company of United Airlines, today reported second quarter net profit of $274 million, a 130 percent increase over $119 million posted in the second quarter of 2006.
UAL had a second quarter operating profit of $537 million, up 106.5 percent compared to $260 million last year. Operating revenue in the three-month period was up 2 percent to $5.2 billion while revenue from cargo operations decreased 6.7 percent to $181 million.
