UASC establishes European joint venture
Kuwaiti ocean carrier United Arab Shipping Co. has established a joint venture company with its German agents, the Karl Geuther Group of Bremen.
United Arab Shipping Agency Co. (North West Europe) GmbH was incorporated Aug. 28 and will assume agency duties for UASC in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, effective Jan. 1.
UASC holds a majority shareholding in the new company and will maintain the existing office locations in all three countries. Ron Vink has been appointed managing director of UASC (NWE) GmbH.
