UASC starts India/Mideast/Red Sea loop UASC announced the start Wednesday of a new Indian Subcontinent/Middle East/Red Sea service.
   The IMR service uses six 2,000-TEU vessels on port rotation of Karachi, Port Qasim, Pipapav, Nhava Sheva, Ras Al Khaimah, Jebel Ali, Djibouti, Jeddah, Yanbu, Aqaba, Sohkna, Jeddah, Port Sudan, Hodeidah, Ras Al Khaimah, Jebel Ali and Karachi. The service commenced with the first sailing of the vessel Hammurabu from Port Qasim.
   The service will also relay cargo from and to UASC’s main line services, connecting the U.S. East Coast, Asia, North Europe and Mediterranean to all ports serviced by the IMR service via UASC’s hub ports in Jeddah and the Arabian Gulf, the carrier said.
