United Airlines names Ruch general manager for South Korea
United Airlines has appointed David R. Ruch as its general manager for South Korea, effective Aug. 1.
Ruch will be located in Seoul, and will be United’s senior company representative based in Korea.
Ruch was head of the Lacek Group-Korea, a division of OgilvyOne, where he specialized in the airline and hospitality industries.
United said Ruch will work closely with Asiana Airlines, United’s partner in the Star Alliance, in developing new opportunities in Korea. The Asia-Pacific region accounts for nearly 25 percent of United’s daily flight capacity.
